Yulia Yurchak

Ukrainian organist, musicologist, music manager, composer.

I was born in Odesa in 1988. Graduated from music school №4 (vocal, choral and piano departments), in 2009 graduated from K.F. Dankevych art college (musicology). In 2021 graduated with a master's degree in musicology from Odessa National Musical Academy of Nezhdanova (supervisor - Doctor of Arts, Professor Oleksandra Samoilenko), in 2020 received a bachelor's degree in composition (class of associate professor Kira Maidenberg). For two years was studying the specialty of organ (teacher - Efremova OO), currently is an organist in the Roman Catholic Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In 2021 took part in the Lviv Organ Residence, where performed at the gala concert of the participants.

Since 2015, has been organizing, conducting and participating in concerts at various venues in Odesa. Is the author of musicological lectures and scientific articles.

I am founder and art director of the Spirit of Music project (since 2019). As part of the project, concerts of baroque music were held (Odessa Museum of Western and Oriental Art, Roman Catholic Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary), a music hall was opened in the museum of the Filatov’s Institute, concerts were held in St. Paul's Cathedral, Urban Music Hall, for the third year are organised organ concerts in the Roman Catholic Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (thanks to the funds raised from concerts the electronic organ was repaired, in plans there are restoration of upper pipe organ).

Since beginning of russia invasion to Ukraine I played charity concerts in Ukraine and abroad, to raise money for helping our army defend our liberty and to show a big variety of Ukrainian organ music.
